Excellent stay, can't praise it enough. Reviewed 4 weeks ago in a family of three with two people with physical disabilities and we're all vegetarians who like a quiet life , its often tough to find decent accommodation. Llamas pyjamas ticked all the boxes, friendly helpful staff, spotlessly clean, newly decorated rooms with good facilities and a café that serves good veggie food. the hotel is on the busy A66, but the noise was minimal, and the views fantastic. The animals are the real joy here, we took a private tour with one of the owners, and it was a great afternoon, she really adapted the experience to my son's disability, making sure he could handle as many animals as he wanted, and he loved it. James' birds of prey display was an enormous success, and I would highly recommend the experience. We stayed in Inca, accessible to wheelchairs, with a wet room that could take a wheelchair transfer, we were offered a shower chair if necessary, but guests who need a hoist would have to bring their own, there is enough room around the bed and in the bathroom to manoeuvre one. the café, and almost all of the animal garden are accessible to wheelchairs, but I would recommend an attendant for some of the steeper areas. The owners have given great thought to their guest's comfort and enjoyment, they are attentive but not intrusive, and clearly experienced in dealing with disability issues. Any animal lover and all children would enjoy this experience, we will certainly be back.

Room Tip: speak to the owners, they answered all of our queries knowledgeably and with enthusiasm.

We stayed one night for my birthday, combining it with a cruise on Windermere and a trip to the Theatre By The Lake at Keswick.
Our room ( Inca ) was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and lovely wet-room. Complete with mini-fridge and coffee machine what more can you ask for.
The breakfast was great and the freshly squeezed orange juice wonderful. The staff were all very friendly, especially Dan who showed us around so we were able to see the other rooms too. Barn Owl cottage looked amazing and would be wonderful for a family.
It is a truly unique place and we wish Dan & Caroline all the very best with this venture! Kathleen Y

We came across this restaurant/B&B by accident. It is a wonderful place. The staff are extremely helpful. Small free zoo to keep the youngsters amused while waiting on food. Llamas watching you through the window while you eat. Lots to buy in the shop. We stayed the night in the Inca Room which was immaculate, finished to a very high standard. My daughter fell in love with the Llamas after we had an hours trek with them. We also had an hours bird of prey experience with Jamie, who certainly knows his stuff. Fabulous break. Catriona H

We stayed here for the weekend the welcome we received would rival a 5 star hotel .. Room was immaculate. Daniel was the most helpful manager one would hope too meet nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb and staff were friendly and most helpful. Can't wait to stay again. Ed

We had a lovely stay at the llamas pyjamas. The room is ‘amazing, stylish and luxurious’ but totally in keeping with the theme and spirit of the place. The staff were great too and it was fab that we could bring our dog along. Thanks for a great time. Ruth and Tom (and Bella)

First attracted by the name and the remarkable décor of the rooms shown on the website. The hospitality shown by Daniel our host was superb. He even rescued us when we got lost, driving out to guide us to the venue in the dark. We just loved the quirky, bijou style of the rooms and the innovative and unique superb wet room with fully adjustable shower, decorated to a high standard, our dogs loved the visit too WE WILL RETURN! We want to say a huge thank you for the welcome we received when we arrived at late notice on Friday! It has been one of the most amazing bed and breakfasts I have ever stopped in. We have had a fabulous stay here with our 10 year old son for three nights. All home comforts with special little touches like fresh flowers and milk which were much appreciated. Warm comfortable and very convenient for Penrith with its facilities and ameneties. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful and the breakfasts ‘hit the spot’. All round a fantastic B and B which we will surely return to. Thank you. The Mitchel family, Lincolnshire.
